Frickin' Awesome

I've never been too much into wearing cologne. Maybe that shall change.

Interesting

One of my favorite pastimes is harnessing the power of the wind to transverse the waves. Now we can harness the power of the waves to transverse the grid.

Over The Deep End

I've gone rather over the deep end with this whole ambient post rock music thing. Below are a few of my favorites of late (videos are only posted for their music). Bark Psychosis and Lichens are especially good for studying.

Mantra

I also really enjoy the opening music to this show. It is a mantra orchestrated by Richard Gibbs.

(the show's great too, but right now I'm talking about the music)

Bark Psychosis

Old School Post Rock

Lichens

More of that ambient stuff. This guy opened for Explosions in the Sky concert this spring.

The Flaming Lips

Tight Bass Line. I've found The Flaming Lips make great pizza night music.

Scapegoating is Unsavory and So is This

Bolivia's leftist president seems to be having a hard time keeping control of his country. It's a shame he's turned to scapegoating his problems on the US. At least that will keep him pals with Chavez.

I also think this statement by Russia's President would be laughable if it wasn't downright unsavory. I'm not sure if he thinks this will help relate things to a western audience or what.

What's for dinner?

We just got a new pasta machine in the west loop. I wonder if it will be as exciting to use as the advertising suggests?

I very much enjoy the writing of Anthony Lane.
