Last Sunday a kitten was left on our doorstep. She's petite and precocious and I've taken to calling her Kiku-san, though officially she remains nameless as I live in a ten person house and democracy in no way to name a cat.

Interesting Urban Events (no, I was not there)

Fresh Basil Leaves: I'm currently living in a community house on the west side of Chicago, North Lawndale to be particular. Among other things this means I get the benefits of cheap rent, freshly grown
herbs, and all the vegetarian food I could ever want.

I have recently been hired with a continuing education company and am specializing in virtual classes. It's a lot of fun working downtown in the loop, so you can all pray I don't get too big of a head.

Books I am currently reading include The Way We Eat and Asset Allocation.
